Once unlocked, you can take control of them to freely explore Pywel and tackle all manner of side missions. Each character has their own combat style, signature weapons and skills, letting you experience combat and exploration from entirely new angles.

Everything depends on your choices: how you combine different skills and gear is up to you. Chain together the heavy swings of a greatsword with fists, grabs and weapon arts into a seamless combo. Wield swords, spears, two-handed blades, battle axes, twin blades and a wide range of ranged weapons. Unleash powerful combos that trigger skills and elemental enhancements; use slides, dodges and counters to keep moving on the battlefield. In split-second combat where life and death hang by a thread, everyone must choose their own path.
There is no shortage of people in Pywel who want you dead: from cold-blooded warriors to ferocious monsters. You will face tense 1v1 duels, small-scale skirmishes and full-blown large-scale battles. Cut down everything that stands in your way.

The journey to reclaim the lost homeland of Pyll begins at the Greymane mercenary camp. As time passes, the steadily expanding camp evolves into something far more than a place to rest. Explore the vastness of Pywel, gather resources, master cooking, fishing and hunting — these diverse activities let you resupply and upgrade your gear.
During your wanderings, you can also play minigames with the locals for a bit of rest and recovery.
